Doors will open back up at 5:30 p.m. and the toe tappin’ country tunes will begin at 6 p.m. Participants can bring snacks to share with everyone.

Monday, March 5 – Fun activities get under way for the week starting Monday mornings at 9:30 a.m.  Sit ‘n Be Fit exercise class and women’s 8-ball pool playing are the first activities of the morning. In the exercise class chairs are set out for everyone. Some exercises are done from the chairs and some are done while standing close to the chair, using it for support. Stretchy bands and bouncing balls are utilized to test flexibility and coordination. The women pool players get their exercise from walking around the tables during several friendly rounds of 8-ball. They would like for new players to come join them and experience the fun. Another morning activity starts at 10:30 a.m. Line dancers line up ready to do some boot scootin’ across the floor. At 1 p.m. canasta, social bridge, pool and snooker are played. Also, check out the jig-saw puzzle table and test you puzzle solving skills.
Tuesday, March 6 – A really fun and fast paced activity you should check out is the exercise/dance class called, “Zumba with Angie”. It is offered at the Center, every Tuesday and Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Their routines are done to a faster moving type of music, so good sturdy shoes are required for all the quick stepping, no backless, slide on types are allowed. Afternoon games include; duplicate bridge, canasta and pool/snooker. Most cards games begin at 1 p.m. except for duplicate bridge which starts at 12:15 p.m. Two rounds of bingo are called at 2 p.m. It is a fun time and everybody wins a prize!
Wednesday, March 7 – The Sit ‘n Be Fit exercise class and women pool players start arriving ready to have a good time at 9:30 a.m.. Then at 10:30 a.m., line dancers do some quick stepping to country tunes. Games of canasta and other card games are played starting around 1 p.m. along with pool and snooker. A puzzle is always out ready to be solved.
Thursday, March 8 – The guitar lessons class lets the participants express their musical talents every Thursday morning at 9:30 a.m. Then at 10:30 a.m. it is time to Zumba again. Class members move with Angie and work on their steps to the Latin American music. The afternoon brings out canasta, bridge and pool players, at 1 p.m. Exciting games of bingo begin at 2 p.m. Reminder: Music night will be held this week. Come take part in the good country music.
Friday, March 9 – Friday mornings are extra busy with Sit ‘n Be Fit exercisers, women pool players, and artists as they all come in at 9:30 a.m. The artists bring in their art supplies and share their ideas and skills with each other. The painting class time continues into the afternoon now to accommodate more artists and give their paint time to dry. Line dancing takes place at 10:30 a.m. Come stroll along with them. During the afternoon, duplicate bridge begins at 12:15 p.m. and canasta card players come in around 1 p.m. Pool and snooker is also played during the afternoon. The puzzle table is always waiting for someone to stop by and find a piece to the puzzle.
Only one day of bridge was played during the last weeks due to a holiday and inclement weather closing the Senior Center. Fridays duplicate bridge winners were: Al Perry and Lionel Raff, 1st; and Adrienne Hyle and Meg Kletke, 2nd.
