Monday, Nov. 17 – If it is time for you to get
up and get some exercise try out the free Sit ‘n Be Fit exercise class offered at
the Center every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday mornings at 9:30 a.m. The reason
for the name, Sit ‘n Be Fit, is because everyone has a chair to use for some
sitting and stretching exercises and to use for stability while also doing some
standing, limbering up exercises. Stretching bands, rubber bouncing balls,
sponge balls, and wooden dowel sticks are all used for various exercises that
help with your coordination and flexibility. Or, if exercise is not for you,
there is women’s pool playing time and a painting/crafting class that meets at
the same time of morning. The women pool players play several rounds of 8-ball
while enjoying the social time with each other. The painting/crafting class
gets together to share their creative ideas. You can bring your art supplies or
a craft project and join the good time. At 10:30 a.m. seniors can come try
their footwork out to some country music during the line dancing class.
Beginners to more advance dancers are all welcome. They have a good and
invigorating time. Later, during the afternoon games of bridge, canasta,
pool/snooker, and jig saw puzzle solving are popular.
Tuesday, Nov. 18 – Wii bowling is a fun and
popular activity to participate in on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30 a.m.
