senior participants on Monday, June 23 at 10:30 a.m. No appointments are needed for either one of
the events. The Center offers many activities for seniors 50 and over. Stop by 1015

sure to pick up a June calendar of events when you stop by and check out the
additions and changes that have been made this month. The Center is open Monday

The month of May was “Older Americans Month” and the
Stillwater Senior Activity Center celebrated with a reception for all 80 and

Monday, June 23 – A free exercise
class, women’s 8-ball pool, a painters/crafters group, and line dancing are
your choice of activities for Monday morning. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. The Sit
‘n Be Fit exercise class uses a chair for each person. A few exercises are done
while sitting and some while standing by their chair. It is a good workout that
utilizes stretchy bands, bouncing balls, and hand weights. Women pool players
get in several rounds of friendly competitive games of 8-ball, also. Bring your
pool stick or use one from the Center and test your skills. A painting/crafting
class also meets. It is a social time to get together and get creative at a
canvas or any other craft you want to bring in to work on while sharing ideas.
Also, at 10:30 a.m. a group of line dancers practice some boot scoot’in moves.
Check it out and get a powerful workout while having a blast! The massage
therapist, Lois Jackson, will also be at the Center at 10:30 a.m. to offer some
relaxing hand or foot massages and maybe a neck massage. This is a first come
first serve basis. Afternoon games begin around 1:00 p.m. Bridge and canasta

Stillwater Municipal pool at 12:30 p.m. It is great exercise, and only
$2/session. In the afternoon, games include; canasta, duplicate bridge,
dominoes, pool/snooker and jig-saw puzzle solving. Bingo players also meet up
