Ave. or call 405-747-8080 for more information and make sure to pick
up a calendar of events.
Time is drawing near to get your income taxes
prepared. A free AARP income tax service is located at the Stillwater Public
Library. They will be there through April 18. The hours are: Monday, 9:30 a.m.
to 1 p.m.; Tuesday, 1 p.m. to 6 p.m.; and Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. It is
a first come first serve basis.
Monday, April 3 – The free Sit ‘n Be Fit
exercise class is a good start to get you active. The class is offered every
Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30 a.m. The Sit ‘n Be Fit exercises are done
while in a chair, but some are also done while standing by your chair. Stretchy
bands and bouncing balls are utilized in to the regular exercise routine. Women
pool players also come in at 9:30 a.m. and play several rounds of active 8-ball
competition. They welcome new players to come enjoy the fun. After exercise
class at 10:30 a.m., line dancers arrive ready to boot scoot across the floor
to some swinging country tunes. Afternoon brings in the canasta and bridge card
players. Also, the pool and snooker table are open for free play.
Tuesday, April 4 – “Zumba with Angie”, is
another free exercise class that is offered at the Center every Tuesday and
Thursday at 10:30. This exercise/dance class will get you moving to some Latin
American type music. You will probably work up a good sweat while enjoying the
fun routines. Please wear good sturdy
shoes for all the quick stepping. No slide on shoes allowed. Afternoon games include
canasta, duplicate bridge, and pool/snooker. Most card games start around 1
p.m. except for duplicate bridge which starts at 12:15 p.m. New duplicate
bridge players should call the Center ahead of time to make arrangements.
Duplicate bridge is played with a partner. Exercise equipment that includes
exercise bikes, a treadmill, and a weight set are available for use in the
afternoon. Pool and snooker playing are popular, also. Bingo is called at 2 p.m.
It’s a lot of laughs and everyone wins a prize! We always have a jig saw puzzle
out too, for all the puzzlers.
Wednesday, April 5 – Sit ‘n Be Fit exercisers
and the women pool players get active again starting at 9:30 a.m. At 10:30 a.m.,

canasta and other card games are played starting around 1 p.m. along with pool
and snooker. A puzzle is always out ready to be solved. Remember, birthday cake
and ice cream will be served at 2 p.m.

Center opens back up at 5:30 p.m. to get ready for Music Night. The musicians
get their instruments tuned up and are ready to entertain the crowd with
country tunes starting at 6 p.m. Come enjoy the music and snacks that participants
bring to share.
Friday, April 7 – Friday mornings become
active after the doors open at 9:30 a.m. You can choose to take part in the Sit

artists bring in their art projects and supplies and share their ideas and instructional
skills with each other. Spring is a good time to start a new art or crafting
project while socializing with the other artists. Canasta, duplicate bridge,
