The City of Stillwater Senior Activity Center
participants, 50 and over, are ready to spring in to the change of seasons and
the extra hour of daylight by getting out more and taking part in their Senior Center.

Park. Free activities offered includes; card games, pool and snooker, bridge, exercise
classes, line dancing, Zumba, bingo, and an evening of music with country tunes
performed by several musicians. Regular hours at the Senior Center are Monday

evenings, 6 to 8:30 p.m. The facility is closed on weekends. Stop by 1015 E. 12th
Ave. or call 405-747-8080 for more information and make sure to pick
up a calendar of events.

Monday, March 20 – Put a spring in your step
every Monday, Wednesday, and Friday at 9:30 a.m. in the free Sit ‘n Be Fit exercise
class. Some of the exercises are done while in a chair but some are also done
while standing by your chair. Stretchy bands and bouncing balls are utilized in
the regular exercises. Women’s pool time will have you springing around the
table to put the pool ball in the hole. This fun competition also begins at
9:30 a.m. They welcome new players to come enjoy the fun. After exercise class
at 10:30 a.m., line dancers arrive ready to boot scoot across the floor to some
swinging country tunes. Afternoon brings in the canasta and bridge card
players.
Tuesday, March 21 – Tuesdays and Thursdays at
10:30 a.m. a free “Zumba with Angie” class is held. This is an exercise dance
class with quick moving springy steps done mostly to Latin American type music.
You will probably work up a good sweat while enjoying the fun routines. Please wear good sturdy shoes for all the
quick stepping. No slide on shoes allowed. Afternoon games include canasta, duplicate
bridge, and pool/snooker. Most card games start around 1 p.m. except for
duplicate bridge which starts at 12:15 p.m. New duplicate bridge players should
call the Center ahead of time to make arrangements. Duplicate bridge is played
with a partner. Exercise equipment that includes exercise bikes, a treadmill, and
a weight set are available for use in the afternoon. Bingo is called at 2 p.m. It’s
a lot of laughs and everyone wins a prize! We always have a jig saw puzzle out
too, for all the puzzlers.
Wednesday, March 22 – Exercisers are back for
the Sit ‘n Be Fit exercise class starting at 9:30 a.m. It will help give you a
good stretching and toning workout. After the exercise class at 10:30 a.m., line

good time to start a new art or crafting project while socializing with the
other artists. Canasta, duplicate bridge, pool and snooker are played in the
